About the Business Development Director – Technology Role:

As the Business Development Director – Technology, you will identify and build business opportunities, provide strategic thinking for outcome-based solutions and drive sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop client relationships and lead marketing engagement with clients in key sectors (e.g. fast-moving consumer goods, food and beverages, retails, travel, transportation, banking, etc.)
Drive pre-sales activities with existing and potential clients across different verticals
Understand clients’ business challenges, for example in areas of product development, sales, marketing and consumer retention
Coordinate knowledge sharing and develop talents within internal teams

To succeed in this Business Development Director – Technology role, you must be comfortable in developing client relationships, drive sales activities, identify business opportunities, and provide strategical thinking.

Key Requirements:

10 – 12 years of experience working in the digital industry either from product vendor, agency, consulting, system integrator, client side
5 – 10 years of experience holding sales target and a proven track record of hitting or exceeding these sales targets
Proven experience in generating a pipeline in addition to getting pipeline from marketing/partners
Proven experience in selling large deals, doing relationship mapping and structuring deals with a long tail
Experience selling and working with marketing technology and/or the services that are sold with them
Domain knowledge in one or two of the following verticals (banking, telco, insurance, retail/FMCG and government/GLC) that can bring insight to your sales
Proven experience in GTM strategy and collaboration to able to build and deliver against a sales plan
Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint with experience putting together proposals with the support of pre-sales and tailor them to client needs
Understanding of what consulting and CX is and how it links back to data solutions
Advantageous if you have a network of customers you can bring to the role to help you get a quick start on hunting for new business
Fluent written and spoken language skills in English, additional SEA languages would be advantageous due to the nature of this role
