POSITION SUMMARY

Downer has a strategic opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Facilities and Asset Services team. The purpose of this position is to provide data driven insights into performance and business intelligence to improve decision making. This vital role allows Downer to provide transparency of information to both our internal teams, stakeholders and our clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Builds a close relationship with internal and external stakeholders in particular those with key responsibilities to the Project KPIs.

Data Warehousing – build and maintain Azure Data warehouse.

Data Modelling and Integration from various sources using logic app, data factory and Web API’s.

Communicate with nontechnical business users to determine specific business requirements for reports and business intelligence solutions.

Identify, communicate, and resolve data quality and data reconciliation issues.

Write complex t-sql queries and stored procedures in sql server 2018.

Data cleaning and processing using various data scrubbing techniques.

Develop interactive power bi reports and dashboards.

Write DAX and M query language.

Design and implement various sample surveys. eg. Employee satisfaction, labour force skills, customer feedback survey etc.

Apply advance statistical techniques to build predictive models in power bi using R for forecasting labour requirements, budget etc.

Analysing and interpreting data and producing relevant statistics and visualisations to describe trends and patterns.

Implement various measures for data integrity, security and governance.

Develop data collection tools using Microsoft power apps.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking applications from experienced Business Intelligence Analysts and developers with background in large scale asset servicing businesses, construction and maintenance projects. In order to be considered for this role you will have BSc/BA in Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Statistics, Business/Financial/Mathematical statistics or Business Analytics. You will also possess BI technologies qualification and be proficient user of Azure Data warehouse. In order to be successful in this role you will have 5 + years post-graduation experience in business intelligence development and analytics, in-depth expertise of database management systems, OLAP and ETL framework and able to demonstrate previous experience on data warehouse design and data mining.
