The following services are provided by Finance Control Business Partner:
Aligned to a designated portfolio of Verticals or HorizontalsAct as the point of coordination and syndication of all CCO ServicesKnowledgeable on all aspects of ERMF, ORF and BCFControl GovernanceProvide AEs with a clear view of their complete risk profileSpecialist consultancy and advisory serviceUnderstand the business priorities and strategyPartners with 2/3LoD colleagues
What will you be doing?
Control Environment –
Responsible for delivery of Product Control Controls programme relating to finance within stipulated timelines and with quality.Provide advisory support to product control teams on any policy & standadard related queries.Provide SME advise to PC on key reisk and controls during emerngent (Risk Events) and programmed events (Risk and Control Self Assesskents) to support effective risk assessments and development of a more mature control environoment.Produce monthly controls metrics realted to PC and help present it senior stakelholders in the monthly/Quaterly directors forum.Provide regular control insight to ensure risk and control issues, risk events and required actions are fully understood, agreed and escalated as necessary.Support team in producing Items at Risk (IAR) metrcis and co-ordinate the meeting with senior finance stakeholders.Create and enhance control awareness across Finance through trainings, workshops etc.Perform deep dives/ reviews to identify any potential control gaps & help business to mitigate them, if anyTrusted advisor for various control policies & standards applicability, impact, adherence etc.
Compliance-
Ensure compliance with applicable policies globally across GFDAct as Subject Matter Expert to ensure that all policies are interpreted and implemented as per Group guidelinesPerform continuous governance and oversight and update Finance Leadership.
Relationship management and leadership-
Ensure effective interaction with onshore CCO Team, process owners, senior management and external auditors, keeping them informed of key risks and issues at all times and to ensure that services provided are in accordance with Barclay’s risk and control frameworksAttend forums and meetings to review progress on various operational risk governance matters Senior Management and Stakeholders.Work with the global GFD teams and any other Project team to integrate new activities into the Controls environment.Focus on developing, implementing and sharing best practices and building synergies.
What we’re looking for:
Basic accounting qualification with a minimum of 4 years of post qualification experienceExperiance in auditing (prefarably in Big Four) in Financial ServicesBasic knowledge and understanding of the key accounting principles Good understanding of the COSO framework and its application to internal controls over financial reporting, Regulatory reporting & controls environment.Ability to understand, implement and drive improvements to a risk & control framework for finance functionsBasic understanding of the Investment Banking industry , Mortgage business and Cards Business is requiredStrong project and change management skills, strong analytical and quantitative skills
