We are a fast-growing early education company currently setting up multiple new services every year, providing lots of opportunity for career advancement.We provide all our centres with weekly research-based curriculum, activity plans and materials with monthly themes developed by a professional team from the University of Helsinki, Finland. We offer overseas training opportunities including but not limited to training opportunities in Finland. We also organize learning and co-teaching opportunities with our university partners in Australia, within our early education research projects.HEI Schools Emerald Early Learning Centre is a brand-new Nordic style childcare centre located in Emerald VIC providing an unprecedented new concept where both Finnish and Australian early childhood education concepts are blended together. We will be ready to serve the local community very soon and we are looking for talented and motivated Rooms Leaders to join our centre. These roles are immediate positions with a strong induction program about our Finnish Teaching Program.ABOUT YOU:- Having Diploma of early childhood education and care or equivalent. Candidate working towards the approved qualification may be considered.- Having working experience within the early childhood sector and knowledge of EYLF.- Holding core values of building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with children, families and colleagues.- Having a mindset of respect and appreciation of a strong team culture of working together.- Having an open mind and belief to embrace new early childhood education concept for better future of children.- Having Approved First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certification.- Having an understanding of the Mandatory Reporting role.- Having current Work with Children Check.- Complying with the Victoria Government’s COVID-19 vaccination requirements (i.e. first dose done on or before 18 Oct 2021 and second dose done on or before 29 Nov 2021)- Full COVID-19 vaccinated.KEY DUTIES:- Participate in the planning of curriculum and education programs to cater for the learning of the children- Support the implementation of curriculum and education programs- Provide guidance to and establish teamwork with other educators- Ensure their responsible room’s health and safety for the children and educators- Ensure regular communication with the parents regarding the learning and development of their children in our centre via the communication App, and any other suitable forms of communication- Ensure up-to-date documentation in line with the National Quality Framework- Assist in ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework- May be required to be one of the responsible personsWHAT WE OFFER:Family friendly work environmentCompetitive salary· Opportunity to be part of such an unprecedented education concept in Australia· Training by our education partner from FinlandSupport from mentor teachers from FinlandProfessional development opportunitiesDiscount for staff members’ children enrolled in the serviceFree counselling via our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Finnish Early Childhood Education (Australia) Pty Ltd is a child-safe organisation and is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of children and protecting them from harm.
