Your Role and Responsibilities

Who you are:
You understand the nuances of different cloud solutions (hybrid, public, private, multi-cloud, on-prem) and their implications for solution design
You understand the relationship among various technologies and architectures and how they contribute to the overall solution.
You have a deep understanding of complex, large-scale multi-region solutions which utilize multiple independent life cycle microservices.
Your Role and Responsibilities :
Cloud Engineer -Security in IBM Client Engineering is a part of a cross-functional team that delivers a unique client co-creation experience to accelerate client transformation.
Works with the IBM Client Engineering team, Sales, and other internal teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical and compliance objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
Acts as a technology advocate to Client CISO to ensure security and compliance requirements are integrated into Minimum Viable Solutions (MVP/MVS).
Hands-on expertise with security practices across infrastructure, applications, and networks. Assists clients in solving challenges and finding the proper balance between enabling and securing in relation to the client’s organization and ecosystem.
A thought leader in security technologies including Cloud Security, SASE, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, Data Protection, Threat Management (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, etc.)
Maintain a high level of technical knowledge on, and work with, all IBM security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in the customer, tech-zone environments.
Support Security opportunities and relationships by being responsible for technical aspects of solutions, including delivering technical presentations, product, and solution briefings, conducting security design-thinking workshops, proofs-of-concepts, and demos to customers as required.
Cloud Security certifications preferred.

SME on Cloud platform, infra & services
Deep skills on Kubernetes design principles e.g. Operator framework, etc.
Expertise in Cloud solution architecture, design, test and deployment
Expert on cloud platform infrastructure
Certified Kubernetes Application /App Developer
OpenShift Certified Administrator
IBM, AWS, Azure, Red Hat cloud engineer certification
Foundational Skills in Design Thinking & Agile Dev

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 7 years of relevant experience and 2 years of client facing experience – strong, collaborative client relationships
Deep understanding of Cloud Foundry, Docker and Containers
Demonstratable experience in private and public Cloud
