Responsibilities:
You provide L2 support from the engineering team i.e, review and resolve escalated issues from support teams.
You create automations for common support requirements.
You work with engineering teams to understand new features and products.
You manage monitoring and reruns of ETL pipelines.
You provide ad hoc data access and configuration over different internal databases.
You provide manual and automated bulk operations support for internal APIs and scripts.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical position
2-6 years of experience in technical support or cloud system administration.
Excellent knowledge of SQL, Linux/Unix and administration and support
Well versed in operations of distributed systems in cloud environments.
Strong Database querying skills.
Be able to read java code, and basic coding/scripting ability in Java, shell/python/ruby
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Customer service experience / strong customer focus
Strong multi-tasking skills
Self-starter who is excited about learning new technology
Well versed in Databases (Postgres, Bigquery, ElasticSearch)
Proficient in Google cloud technologies specifically BIgquery/Bigtable.
Python, and shell scripting; experience with Java a plus.
Exposure to Cloud Data Fusion or Spark streaming is a plus
Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes
Prior working experience with GCP or relevant certifications
Exposure to security concepts / best practices
