We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
The Java engineering team is responsible for both development and maintenance of the micro-services and core collateral platform. HSBC is seeking a Java DevOps Engineer to join this team to perform the following:
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, secure and reliable Java code
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
Adopt DevOps and Agile practices
Release all changes through automated CI/CD pipeline
Build automated monitoring and alerting that doesn’t require human intervention to monitor state of micro-services
Ensure test-driven development and close collaboration with QA team members
Support the platform, incident resolution, monitoring, problem management
Develop automated tooling to improve production support functions
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Excellent hands-on knowledge of Java 8, Spring boot, Spring JDBC
Good knowledge of Oracle database and SQL queries
Hands-on experience in designing and developing micro-services
Experience working in an Agile and/or DevOps model
Hands-on working experience with Teamcity and Ansible
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write and adopt TDD/BDD based testing
Quick problem solver and learner, should have worked independently in prior assignments requiring minimal or zero supervision
Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
Additional Skills-
Spring Cloud (Hystrix, Eureka, Zuul, Sleuth, Feign, Ribbon),
Experience of distributed applications using in-memory stores,
Experience of designing hybrid web Application
Experience in TypeScript, Angular, HTML 5
Cloud knowledge (GCP/AWS/Azure) is desired
Experience with messaging protocols (MQ, Solace)
