Job Specifications:
• Minimum Educational Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science in 10+2+3/10+2+4 pattern
• Preferable additional qualification: Training and Certification on Oracle, PostgreSQL,MySQL,Azure Native DB,AWS Native DB,OCI Autonomous DB and other DBs
Roles/ Responsibilities:
• Design and Architect on Database technology on Oracle,PostgreSQL,MySQL and Cloud Native Databases
• Develop Migration Solution for Database Migration and Transformation solutions
• Should be SME on Database converged System such as Oracle Exadata/Supercluster/ODA
• Help the management build new capabilities and sub-capabilities within the team.
• Support and guide the team on complex projects and customer requirements.
• Work on continual improvement in quality of the work carried out by the team and carry out regular reviews of deliverables to ensure quality.
• Mentor the team on technologies and processes, and experientially.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on improving existing processes and establishing new processes and procedures.
• Deal with escalations and work with the team and the management on preventing them from recurring.
• Create POC’s New Database Release features and emerging technologies.
• Manage technology roadmaps from POC, Vendor release notes and Vendor new product release conference/Lab review
• Create delivery/Operation documents for handover solution to ongoing delivery and participate in RTPA process.
• Enhance the delivery capability by providing SOP/Best practices/technical white papers for a specific technology service
• Recommend transformation project requirement to meet availability targets on CI’s which has been adapted from customer Database Enviorment
• Responsible for reviewing the additional scope or new technology migrations as change order requested from Customer.
• Review schedules/deliverables using DXC standard Portfolio baselines.
Develop automation and standardization on delivery of project to reduce project cost charge-out
Core Technical Skills:
• Expert in Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Added knowledge in Document DBs, Cloud Native Databases
• Migration Solutioning experience in below mentioned cross DB transformation
1. Oracle to PostgreSQL
2. Oracle to MySQL
3. Oracle to SQLServer
4. On premise Oracle to AWS RDS,Aurora,Azure
5. Oracle to Oracle
• Expertise in Database Discovery and Assessment both from Hosting and Migration perspective
• Expertise in Database upgrade methodology
• Experience in Database native HA/DR/Replication solutions design, implementation and testing
• Experience in Golden Gate, DMS, DMA ,MTK
• Database Performance tuning
• Database Security and auditing Design and implementation
• Database BuR , Monitoring Design and implementation
• Added knowledge on Exadata, ODA
• Experience in RTM, HLD, LLD ,capacity planning with good documentation skills.
