BS/MS in Computer Science, HCI, related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience as a UX prototyper
Deep understanding and fluent usage across a broad spectrum of technologies including: Unity, WebRTC, C++/C, Python, Arduino, NodeJS, JavaScript, Eagle, and 3D printer
Ability to quickly learn and apply cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Job summary
As a Design Technologist on the SPXD team, you will build new experiences, experiment with design patterns, and interactions. You will build interactive prototypes that will allow the team to measure the improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of newer solutions as they are tested with customers world-wide. Our team is inventing new and exciting technology, and you’ll own a big part of this. You will work with a talented team of UX Designers and front-end engineers in an agile environment launching new features and functions while managing the existing services. You’ll perform deep analytics on the customer experience, defining success criteria, and measuring the impact of your innovations. A successful candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, front-end engineering background combined with a solid understanding of technical concepts, and a passion for helping teams improve their products. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities

Pursue rapid prototyping to convey, prove, iterate, and advance the vision of an entirely new experience
Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders from concept through shipping
Participate in the full lifecycle of product development, including ideation, design, development, implementation and validation
Advance design thinking through your knowledge of platform capabilities and limitations as you support your design team and work with partner engineering teams.
Work quickly with minimal documentation and technical support.
