MediCare Pharmacy Group operates 53 busy high volume retail pharmacies which are located across Northern Ireland. Employing over 700 staff, including 100 pharmacists, MediCare is the biggest indigenous pharmacy group in Northern Ireland.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, talented Digital Services Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will develop and deliver MediCare’s digital services. Innovation and patient experience are key focus areas for MediCare. In order to exceed in both, we have implemented a number of digital services, robotics, and mobile applications.
The ideal candidate will manage and improve the utilization of existing digital services and explore new services which could be implemented to improve the patient experience. They will have a passion for innovation and the latest developments in digital technology.
Our current Digital Services include a mobile app to manage deliveries and collections, an online booking system to book vaccine appointments, a texting service for patients, an e-commerce platform, an analytics platform, and a customer loyalty scheme.
Key Responsibilities for this role will be:
The planning and execution of MediCare’s digital services strategy, providing creative ideas to improve the patient experience.
Developing and enhancing existing digital services to maximise their impact
Management and implementation of new services across branches and head office
Consultation with staff across different departments, analyse and document all ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ processes and policies.
Collaborate with the senior management team to identify opportunities to improve patient experience
Able to manage difficult stakeholders and manage expectations on project timelines, budgets etc.
Conducting digital competitor analysis, report findings and make recommendations for improvements across key lines of business.
Maintaining and developing strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across 53 pharmacies
Any other duties as required.
Essential Criteria:
3rd level degree in Project Management or Digital Transformation or related field (other disciplines will be considered where candidates can demonstrate core skills required).
Demonstrable experience in digital transformation
Knowledge of analytics tools.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Proven ability to plan and prioritise workload under pressure to a successful conclusion within timelines.
