Job Description : 55ip, a fully owned subsidiary of J.P Morgan Chase, is looking for an experienced QA automation engineer for its technology-enabled investment platform for large investment advisory (RIA) & wealth management firms. The ideal candidate for this role has successfully demonstrated the ability to design, implement and monitor automation test frameworks and test cases, preferably for applications in the financial or capitals markets’ domain. The candidate will be a motivated and a proficient automation QA professional who enjoys solving problems – in a team environment using established software engineering practices – thereby making an impact on a fast-growing business.
Responsibilities:
Understanding of test cycles within the Agile-Scrum methodology
Design and implement automation test framework modules to support ongoing development of automated test scripts
Analyze requirements and develop appropriate automation test cases
Conduct various types of test execution cycles such as Smoke, Regression and Feature testing
Qualifications / Skillsets:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Must have 7+ years of experience in Automation testing
Proven ability to write automated tests
Detailed understanding of common defect and data management tools
Advanced knowledge of software lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile, and test automation strategies
Experience working effectively with teams and stakeholders to develop relationships and achieve common goals
Proficiency in a business function and some understanding of the broader business context
Must have more than 3 years of experience in Python. Must know OOPS basics.
Must have experience on Selenium via Python or Java. Must be prominent with industry best practices, element locator, all GUI actions via code, web driver wait, headless browser mode.
Must have experience creating automation framework from scratch, Page Object Model, hybrid driven development, BDD, Pytest, or any two of the above. Exposure on reducing code complexity, code redundancy.
Must have experience in API testing, exposure to manual API test via any tool, and automation experience via code, preferred python.
Should have experience on Git, must know development Git workflow, must know Git commands, code commit, conflict merge, and have the ability to work on Gitbash.
Experience working on the Linux command line is a plus.
CI/CD test integration is a plus.
Performance testing experience is a plus.
