Job Description : Overview:
The main function of this role is to provide cross newsroom support for the Newsroom Finance team, focusing on processing invoices and providing admin support across ITV and C4 News.
Working closely and managing relationships with the Production Accountants, Production Managers and admin teams within each newsroom is key to this role, aiding cost capture and a real understanding of all news production related costs. This is a responsive role, with a need for excellent communication whilst working within a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of the ITV & C4 News invoice management, responsible for checking and accurately coding invoices, facilitating invoice authorisation on a timely basis and dealing with any related queries
Purchase order matching/management and support with fixed contract management
Facilitating cash advances, transfers, and ad hoc payments
Support with cross newsroom Bureaux management including monthly returns and controls
Support with accounting code set up/management
Support with Albert data collection to aid certification and ad hoc related tasks on a quarterly basis
Team player, offering ad hoc support to the news production and the wider Newsroom Finance team

Qualifications:
Proven experience within an accounting role
Financially numerate
Interest in Media and News & Current Affairs
Experience working in media/fast paced environment desirable
Strong Excel & IT skills
Ability to create and maintain good relationships with finance and operational staff
Highly motivated, proactive, organised, good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and a professional attitude
Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
