Job Description : Construction Financial Controller Opportunity

If you are an experienced Finance Controller/Management Account within the Construction industry seeking an exciting new challenge to advance your career and join a forward thinking and expanding company then this is for you!

Company:
Our client is one of the UK’s fastest-growing Building Envelope Contractors, specialising in Commercial Cladding, Flat Roofing, Facade’s, and Glazing refurbishment projects, and also have a maintenance and small works division.

Established 15 years ago, they have nationwide coverage in the building envelope refurb sector, with an abundance of new business in the pipeline. The past two years they have seen massive growth having tripled in size from £6m to £18m, and have an ambitious 3-year plan to double their turnover to £40m.

70% of their work is cladding, 10% small works, and 20% flat roofing, however they have recently won the Emirates Stadium roofing project valued at £13m which increases this to £30%.

With a full-time staff count of 35, and over 100 including subcontracting gangs, they are due to move into new offices double the size of their current premises to accommodate their expanding team.

Key Candidate Requirements:
You will be a qualified Financial Accountant with previous experience within the construction industry
As you will be managing the company’s finance, you should possess excellent and nurturing leadership skills
Strong attention to detail and an ability to work well under pressure, within a strict deadline environment
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills towards effective and efficient collaboration and clientele services
In-depth knowledge of the most acclaimed practices in accounting
Advanced proficiency in managing account reconciliations, general ledgers, and journal entries
Exceptional ability to prepare construction/project budgets, tax reports, and financial forecasts
Efficient and extensive experience in project invoicing and billing to ensure adequate payment services
Proficiency in electronic accounting systems, to aid better accountability
