Job Description : JHE & Partners are working exclusively with a manufacturing business in Halifax who are looking for a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is an exciting finance opportunity overseeing the whole finance function for this SME overseeing one member of staff.You will have exceptional finance experience that takes a hands-on approach in all financial matters. You will be used to working in a varied and at times fast-paced role therefore you must be able to multi-task and work as part of a collective senior management team.Duties include:Preparing of budgetsCashflow management and forecastingProduction of monthly management accounts and the year-end accounts in line with current company lawProvide the analysis and explanation of financial data to aid decision makingPreparation of year end accounts and all related reports, analysis and data as required by the external auditorsLiaising with the auditorsCredit control in respect of sales ledger and the payment of suppliers in respect of purchase ledgerMaintaining computerised pricing files for all customersResponsible for all aspects of VAT, including meeting HMRC guidelines, filing returns to strict guidelines and ensuring timely paymentDealing with all inland revenue mattersMaintaining, processing and ensuring the integrity of the payroll system (Sage Payroll)Liaise with banks including forecasting, reconciliation of bank accounts, exchange rates, integrity of bank accounts and petty cashDealing with purchase, funding, recording and registration of fixed assetsResponsible for the Assistant AccountantThis is an exciting role for a Finance Manager looking for a new challenge working in a progressive and evolving business. Ideally you will have experience of Sage 200 and Sage Payroll although this is only a desirable. You must have a good working knowledge of Excel for this role. Salary on offer is £40k – £50k, please apply without delay to avoid disappointment.
