Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have had agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary Band 4 Financial Accountancy Assistant working as part of the Financial Accounting Function for a 12 month period.
You will provide direct support to the Financial Accounting Team Leader, maintaining ledgers and providing accurate and timely information in accordance with NHS Lanarkshire reporting timetables.
The successful candidate must have working knowledge and skills equivalent to HNC level with experience of working in a finance office environment.
You must also be proficient in all Microsoft packages, but in particular Excel and Word, and an excellent communicator and team player.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
Working knowledge, skills and experience equivalent to HNC level
Demonstrate experience of team working, ability to deliver to performance and team targets
Demonstrate ability to maintain high morale within a high pressure environment
Experience of customer interaction and analytical skills
Assist with reporting tasks for the wider department should workflow allow
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Financial Systems and the ability to alternate between the multiple functions within this environment
Good organisational and communication skills
