The Company

A Financial Analyst is sought by this highly successful division of a multinational conglomerate. This diverse Logistics-Distribution business operates throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia. Internal promotion has created an entry point for a Financial Analyst to provide project investment analysis and decision support to senior management. Reporting to the European CFO, your brief includes:

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst
Support development across the business, preparing financial models for valuation analysis and investment appraisal
Research and perform due diligence to support business plans, validating revenue, costs, tax, investment and financing assumptions liaising with technical external advisors and internal specialists
Monitoring project development and established businesses across the Europe division portfolio
Preparation of 5-year financial forecast and budget package for sites, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, return ratios and business review slides
Coordination of budget package submissions of 9 businesses within the European division
Analysis of the division financial results and elaboration of division presentations for group management reviews
Preparation of ad-hoc analysis for division management
Review of capex proposals in collaboration with global corporate office for shareholder approval
Assist with annual accounts preparation and approval process with external auditors and corporate company secretary
Reporting monthly accounting of business development companies in corporate Oracle and Hyperion systems
Working closely with the division CFO for the approval of financial, internal control and risk management report

Skills & Attributes of the Financial Analyst
Active studier part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
Ideally a graduate with strong academic track record or demonstrate an ability to learn new skills quickly
Previous holders of this position have typically had 1-3 years financial analysis experience after graduating
Be adept at using complex Excel models
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Profit & Loss, balance sheet and financial analysis alongside commercial flair, an eye for detail and the ability to develop robust relationships with key stakeholders
The business is very fast paced and requires someone to work to tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy
You will be a highly autonomous individual comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders around the world
An additional European language would be highly advantageous for your career development given the international nature of the group
