Job Description : We are seeking a FO Application Support professional to join our dynamic global trading support team. The Candidate will be responsible for new innovative trading technology solutions whilst achieving operational excellence in providing daily FO Trading system application and desktop support for our India trading team based out of Mumbai office. The role provides the candidate with the opportunity to become involved in setup of new business entity at the initial stage, and to play a core role in the support of expansion of our sell side equity trading & research business franchise in India.
This role is in the India Technology team part of the Global Institutional Services Technology group.
Describe the role:
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in finance or economics with 4+ years of FO Application Support experience within the Indian brokerage industry. Preference will be given to candidate with knowledge of supporting India based FO vendor platforms using Omnesys & Fidessa front office trading platforms.
We are interested in candidates that have excellent organizational support/facilitation for client servicing and significant technical/desktop support skills. Strong time-management and planning skills; with multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should also possess excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
FO Application support professional will support the India based equity trading desk and research team comprise of analysts & associates. Specific responsibilities may include:
Global setup: Interacting with client support teams, equity sales traders, dealers, and global operation teams to provide support by performing SOD activities, FO application support and local desktop support. Escalating issues to trading desk stakeholders
Client Servicing: Assist in onboarding institutional clients, tracking, testing and go-live setup. Tracking and assisting with re-assessments
India Trade Support : Assist in resolving trade breaks, ensuring FO compliance with regulatory rules, and resolving/tracking trade execution issues by liaising with exchanges, client & vendors to close any issues
Global Trade Support: Assist in resolving trade breaks for global client base, working with global FO trading support team to resolve any global client queries on India executions etc.
Local Market (NSE/BSE): Troubleshooting trade execution and reconciliation issues with local exchanges (NSE & BSE)
Vendor: Experience with Thomson Reuters Omnesys & Fidessa Trading platforms. Managing vendor hosted Omnesys platform utilizing Vendor support team, escalations, troubleshooting, DR scenario etc.
Mindset: Learning various trading systems, support automation/scripting, fast paced and technical environment
Teamwork: Liaising with front office trading teams in Hong Kong, London and New York to facilitate workflow of tasks for global FPI clients
Technical: Working knowledge of the India trading landscape, trading desktop support and operational issues. High level understanding of Networking concepts (TCP, Firewall, Routing etc.) for troubleshooting connectivity issues. Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel or similar software tools along with scripting (perl, python etc.), good analytic problem-solving skills
