One of Australia’s Federal Government Departments is looking to engage an experienced Full-stack Technical Lead Developer to work closely with solution developers and testers across multi-disciplinary teams that use agile principles and practices to deliver client-centred solutions. They will provide technical leadership and build technical capability within the branch to a high standard. The successful Full-stack Technical Lead Developer will be offered an Initial 6-month contract with extension options!
The Full-stack Technical Lead Developer will be responsible for:
Leading capability uplift in technical skill sets and processes across the division, including upholding coding standards and test-driven development practices, and leading peer reviews and pair programming activities with the developer cohort.
Providing strong technical expertise and guidance to developers undertaking software development activities using bespoke ASP.NET Core web app (Web API, Entity Framework Core) and solutions based on ReactJS, using TypeScript and JavaScript.
Maintaining and improving CI/CD build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps/Git, including coordinating and carrying out test and production releases to deliver product increments, including integrating test automation.
Performing systems analysis, investigating technical problems, and working with relevant team members to troubleshoot and resolve defects and blockers.
Assisting teams with estimating, refining, and planning technical tasks.
The successful Full-stack Technical Lead Developer must have experience in the following:
At least 5 years’ experience as a full-stack developer working across Microsoft products/cloud platforms, including the following technologies: Microsoft .NET Core specialist ASP.NET Core, ReactJS, using TypeScript, JavaScript, Azure DevOps with Git and Azure cloud services, inc. app service, function apps.
Expertise in applying technical standards and practices such as pair programming, test-driven development, continuous integration and robust skills and experience in technical problem solving and troubleshooting. .
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and enable other team members, including while managing competing priorities.
Strong communication at technical, business, and interpersonal levels (both written & oral).
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team or organisation using Agile and human-centred design principles, practices or frameworks (i.e. Scrum)
