After acquiring the vertical motors business in 2019 (Autotrader & CarsGuide) we are redefining our business in Australia and creating one integrated team that will drive the vision and strategy of our three leading brands!
Do you want to work with a team that is passionate about bringing vibrancy to the iconic Gumtree brand with focus on Motors vertical? Join our marketing team as our Head of Growth Marketing & SEO for Gumtree, CarsGuide and Autotrader Australia.
As our Head of Growth Marketing & SEO you will:
Own, communicate, and report on our SEO strategy
Research and recommend SEO keywords to use on our web & app properties
Ensure strong relationships and alignment with design, product and development teams
Set, Monitor and Report key metrics to understand SEO strategy performance
Work with Product, Tech and Marketing to improve the conversion rate for organic traffic
Lead a performance marketing team with building and improving their SEM strategy
Proactively identify content marketing opportunities with special focus on Motors vertical
Work with copywriting and social media teams to assist with social posts, blog posts, website content, and page descriptions
Perform competitive research and opportunity analysis for the company
Guide the content team to ensure site content is engaging and shareable; recommend content approaches to gain natural attribution from authority sites
Proactively provide analytics and key findings for the team and company
Lead the CRM Automation team to help improve the vibrancy of the platform with constant A/B testing and optimisation
Lead and oversee the Performance Marketing Manager to ensure we get best ROI for our investment
Work closely with the Marketing Analyst (dotted line reporting) to develop dashboards to measure end to end customer acquisition, retention, leaky bucket, sessions, listings, impressions, page views
Collaborate with PR and social team to boost domain authority
Provide guidance and recommendations for maintaining or improving search engine rankings while iterating on our websites
Project Management of tasks and activities to drive business goals
Hire members of the SEO team and supervise their evolution
Solve administrative issues regarding invoices, providers, and contracts
Required Skills/Experience:
10 years’ experience in an SEO role
Experience partnering with senior executives as well as leading worldwide digital teams operating effectively within different cultures
Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically and identify and resolve problems
Should be self-motivated with strong leadership skills who is equally comfortable collaborating in a team environment
History of teamwork and willingness to roll-up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Strong background in web analytics, search engine optimization, including proven experience with mature, high traffic websites
Expertise in Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools
Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
Strong analytical skills
Experience with website optimization tools
Strong organizational and communication skills
An energetic, passionate, and positive approach to problem solving
Special consideration will be given to any candidate who also has strong knowledge and experience with marketing analytics and prior motors experience
