The Role
Sandstone is currently on the lookout for a Head of Technology to provide technical leadership to the Digital Banking business unit both inward and outward-facing. It provides to the business practical and services, products, solutions and technologies that will provide Sandstone Technology with best-practice application architectures. With an enterprise-wide focus, you will assess, design and implement IT systems architecture to support Sandstone’s Digital Banking business strategy.
Collaborative leadership skills and a strong technical background are critical, as is the ability to provide thought leadership to business stakeholders and technical teams across technology, product, client delivery, security and architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with product, technical and business teams to provide technical direction and solutions for a range of digital products.

Evaluation and selection of development methods, development processes, best practices and tools.
Responsible for applications-related quality, performance, availability, scalability, security and integrity.
Adhere and improve processes, methodologies, standards and policies in relation to IT enterprise architecture from a governance & risk perspective.
Assess the existing digital architecture including the security aspects.
Identify and define cloud, SaaS and microservices based architecture.
Participate and lead client, vendor and partner meetings to demonstrate technical thought leadership in Digital Banking and discuss potential technical paths to market.
Work closely with Product, Sales and Innovation teams to provide technical leadership on new initiatives.
Bring a product mindset and technical leadership in the production of technical solution designs, high quality functional specifications and other technical/documentation to ensure high quality customer experiences.
Managing a team of highly talented architects and developers.
Mentoring and training a broader set of technical and business staff across the business unit.
Work very closely with the development teams to ensure delivered systems align with the Technology architectural strategy and the principals relating to software integrity and reusability.
Keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner
About You
Experience in the technical implementation of Digital transformation programs and “regulated mission critical high volume” environments
Experience in developing and managing technical aspects of Digital Financial Services, Data Architectures, Cloud and SaaS services.
Polished communication, stakeholder engagement skills
Understanding of trends and best practices in the digital space
Excellent understanding of Agile practices and API led connectivity
Excellent understanding of mobile app technologies, react native, IOS and Android
Experience with maintaining legacy technology environments, the strategy and architecture requirements that accompany that environment
Experience in building and managing secure technology practices including vulnerability management, OWASP & Secure Coding principals, ISO27001
