Mandate Skills:
Strong Linux
HPC Administration skills
Knowledge of:
Familiar with PERL, PYTHON, and Shell Scripting,
Good knowledge of RedHat Linux setup and administration
GITHUB source management
Basic knowledge of Batch job scheduling with PBSPRO, MPI, clusters
Knowledge of CAE-applications, eg. Ansa, Abaqus, Lsdyna, Nastran, Metapost is helpful.
The engineer would have to work the EMEA timezone.
The job:
You will install and support CAE-applications, analyse job-outputs and understand or handle error-messages.
You will communicate with the Ford CAE engineer to clarify his problem-description, collect details, interpret the errors and try to resolve it.
You might contact the SW vendor, clarify the issue, interact with the HPC team in Dearborn, and isolate / solve the problem.
Ford CAE-teams might contact you to help writing procedures and scripts fitting their project into the HPC environment you are familiar with.
You will interact with the Dearborn HPC team and get a global agreement, write CRQ’s (change control requests) and get approvals, test and implement the solution.
Work on globally submitted problem tickets. Help users in webex sessions interactively.
