A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
We are looking for Information Developers to develop high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our modules and solutions. The resource will join a team of talented information developers who work collaboratively with product managers, quality engineers, Customer Support Organizations, Professional Service Organization, usability experts to develop, and maintain help content for new development and for established Infor Nexus applications. Writer should have 0- 2 years of experience writing and editing content, developing eLearning courses and demos for a variety of online transactional, Software as a Service – based applications. The ideal candidate should have experience writing and collaborate on content with diverse groups in a fast-paced environment.
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the module and the documentation requirements
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards, is appropriate for its intended audience and is in sync with development effort
Write accurate, concise and easy-to-understand user interface documentation, configuration guides, release notes, insight videos, contextual help and controlled release documentation
Create eLearning courses across priority modules to help end-users use a variety of modules with the application
Evaluate the scope of a writing project and be responsible for managing own priorities, schedule, and deadlines
Enforce and follow established style guides to ensure high editorial standards
Quick and accurate, should be able to multi-task.
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
Masters in English/Mass Communication, Engineering background seeking career opportunities in Technical Writing and Information Development or Candidate with basic graduation having Technical Writing certification.
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in developing and maintaining online help, user manual, configuration guides and eLearning for software applications
Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts, translate them into clear and easily understandable non-technical content
Excellent writing, editing, analytical and proof reading skills in English
Good exposure to SDLC and Documentation Development Life Cycle
Exposure to authoring content in XML on any DITA CMS using authoring tools like Oxygen or XMetal
Exposure to DITA Concepts
Desired tool knowledge
Working knowledge on any CMS
Oxygen Authoring tool/ XMetal
Captivate/Camtasia
SharePoint/Wiki
Jira
Good to have exposure to any SCM product(s)
Aptitude to pick up new tools, troubleshooting, and strong customer service skills
Ability to work in a team and collaborate with all levels in the organization
Extremely organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter who can work independently
