About the job

We’re looking for an exceptional Internal Communications Manager. This is an amazing opportunity to build something new and influence from the ground up while working in an exciting and successful business. The introduction of this role will be instrumental to raise the bar on how we engage and communicate with all our teams, with particular focus on our production site based teams. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to improve our internal communications across all of our UK sites, keeping all our HelloFresh employee’s informed and engaged on key messages regardless of their job role or where they are working.

We want clear, inspirational and timely messaging in the right tone of voice to keep all our teams connected to our brand purpose, our values and fully informed on business activities. At HelloFresh we move at pace and are rapidly growing so we need effective communication channels to support our teams to deliver great operations, a great product for our customers and deliver on our strategic ambitions.
What you will be doing:

You will be part of our Internal Communications Team to drive forward our UK internal communications strategy. This is a new role to the organisation so you should position yourself to educate stakeholders within the organisation on the critical role that internal communications can play. Proving expertise on distinct internal communications deliverables to help us drive forward our business plan and our people plan.
You will play a pivotal role to help define our communications strategy and build a framework of all of our channels and audiences so we have a clear and effective cascade mechanism to reach all types of colleague’s within HelloFresh UK. Using your creativity to create a HelloFresh tone of voice in all our communications which embeds our purpose and values.
Establish our UK internal communications framework with clear ways of working to manage core communications across all our sites (one head office and 2, soon to be 3 production centres, plus multi-site and hybrid workers). This will require working with stakeholders to define clear ownership, appropriate cadence, clarity on core messages, clarity on audience groups and appropriate tone of voice so we deliver consistency in our internal communications.
Coordinate the release of internal communications that need to reach all UK audiences so we are purposeful to land the right messages, to the right audiences, at the right time and in the right tone of voice.
Collaborate with the Leadership Team, People Team, Workplace & Culture team, Operations team on the communication cascade of core topics such as Business updates, Colleague Feedback Circles (Forums), Culture Committees, Happiness Survey/Pulse Surveys, Employer Brand, Diversity & Inclusion Forums, Health Safety and Wellbeing and UK-wide Social Events. Act as facilitator at Key Colleague Feedback Circles/Committees.
Own the facilitation of core employee meetings All Hands, Ask Me Anything Meetings and other groups and committees. Work with the Senior Leadership Team on agenda points that will drive engagement and participation in these forums, building a culture of open, transparent and two-way communication.
Create a clear feedback mechanism on our internal communications so we regularly listen and ask our teams what is working well and where we can improve. We currently have Google, Slack, and Wiki’s. Keep us aligned to market best practice with communication channels that are engaging, help teams deliver their roles, increase opportunities for two-way feedback and keep everyone aligned to operational changes and delivering a great product for customers.
Collaborate with the existing People Team, Workplace & Culture team, Health & Safety and Facilities teams to ensure a consistent brand and tone of voice on shared assets eg: business email communication, site TV screens, notice boards, break areas, posters, signage so messages are relevant, appropriate and updated regularly.
Create and maintain an effective channel to communicate and engage with our growing number of HelloFresh Production operatives so they feel more connected to our brand purpose, values, operational delivery and our ambitions.
Partner with our Senior Leadership team to use our channels to increase visibility of the Leadership team through regular innovative and authentic communication. Building content in Email, Newsletter Articles, Blogs, Video etc.
Partner with our UK brand teams including product marketing, brand campaign teams to amplify key comms campaigns through internal channels
Partner with our Global corporate communications team to ensure cross-market communications are released in a timely way and reach the desired audience through our local channels.
Who you are:

Passionate about workplace culture and the role internal communications play!
3 years+ experience in an internal communications or engagement role. Able to demonstrate clear evidence where you have managed a comprehensive communications programme to advance an organisations mission and goals.
Confident stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and communicate at all levels.
You are a change agent – you build and effect change at people and process level.
Strong experience in presentations, live streams, newsletters, video production and events management
Super organised, detailed-orientated with the skills to manage multiple projects.
Creative, agile and innovative, if you spot an opportunity you like to move fast.
