Job Description : Due to possible Travel involved, PASSPORT is a must!!1] IT Technician Job brief :- We are looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality in our shore offices as well as onboard ships. This also requires traveling to all parts of the world to sometimes go onboard ships and sometimes assist the ship remotely using email guidance and phone calls.- You will also train users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.- A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of Internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.- The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.- Office electronic systems, such as CCTV, Air Cons and any other responsibility given, will also be under this position to maintain in good health by using external service providers.2] Responsibilities :- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality. Visit Local and Mumbai-based computer markets to gain access to parts.- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems, and maintain company policies. Propose changes required to the existing procedures and policies as well.- Provide orientation and guidance to new and existing users on how to operate new software and computer equipment. Maintain training and documentation- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders- Testing of cloud-based and Desktop-based software solutions as advised.- Data Entry projects to be carried out as guided.- Daily checks on company’s servers, maintaining backups and upholding company policies with this regard.3] Requirements :- Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills- Excellent communication ability, both spoken and written, in English and Hindi- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks- Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles- Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)- Very Good Typing skills, with atleast 30 words per min speed.- Good Knowledge of SQL QueriesJob Types: Full-time, Regular / PermanentSalary: ₹15,000.00 – ₹36,000.00 per monthSchedule:Day shiftExperience:IT Technician: 1 year (Preferred)Speak with the employer+91-XXXXXXXXXX
