Job Description : About Lovevery
Lovevery is a fast-growing digitally native brand co-founded by successful serial entrepreneurs and based in Boise, Idaho. Our customers are parents, and our mission is to help them feel confident they are giving their children meaningful development experiences in the critical early years of life. Taking a science-based approach, Lovevery products have won awards from Red Dot, Parents’ Choice, and NAPPA. TIME Magazine named The Play Kits subscription offering as one of the Best Inventions of 2018.
The Role
Lovevery is looking for a Lead Content Researcher who has a rich understanding of foundational and up to date research when it comes to child development. This candidate is an expert in research-based practices, fact checking, quality control, editing, and is excited to help us build the go-to early learning platform for parents of babies, toddlers, and young children.
The Lead Content Researcher is responsible for keeping up to date with and informing the team on aligned child development practices and will play a key part in our ongoing production of content geared towards parents and caregivers. Fluency with academic studies and a strong background in content production and publishing processes are essential to ensure we meet our commitment to delivering evidence-based developmental information and advice. Clinical experience or education in early childhood, or a strong network of experts in the field are a bonus. The position reports to the Director, Content Operations, but will communicate regularly with the Group VP, Content and Media, as well as Lovevery’s CEO.
The ideal candidate empathizes with what new parents want and need, and understands their universe. They will partner with our skilled writers and dive deep into meaningful topics while ensuring our voice is consistent, on brand, and aligned with research and science based findings. This combined with their own strong writer’s voice will enable them to support the creation of content that is thoughtful, credible, clear, and of service to Lovevery’s customers and prospects.
This person is a self-starter who is eager to take on new projects and responsibilities, even when the path forward isn’t perfectly clear. They’re organized, communicative, and an active and positive collaborator. They can handle the development of multiple formats, from longform articles to short, easy to digest posts. Across the board, they put care into making each piece meet a high standard of excellence and are comfortable reviewing and revising work with our CEO.
Responsibilities
Dive deep into research around the latest science-backed child development topics including physical, cognitive, and social emotional development, parenting philosophies, and more.
Align this research with Lovevery’s mission and content roadmap and help to influence the roadmap as it relates to the evolving research findings.
Be our go-to fact checker to ensure all content produced is consistent with science-backed research and aligned with our own philosophy and physical product offerings.
Cross check all content to ensure that we cover a deep range of topics related to child development and parenting.
Contribute to writing content related to Lovevery’s mission, and in our brand voice and tone, based on your own knowledge and thorough research for blog, app, and other channels as needed.
Demonstrate savvy in writing for digital channels; the ability to consider how a user will experience content in an app vs. blog or print piece, and make editorial decisions based on that, is key.
Actively contribute expertise and ideas to the Content Team, whether developing individual article topics and overarching content themes, or proposing solutions to team processes and rituals.
