Job Description : This is a lead individual contributor (SME role), the talent will drive the Architecture definitions, development & execution of key platform/programs for AST product lines and technologies across Healthcare, Transportation, Industrial & Logistics sensing verticals.
Collaborate with various technology teams in defining product architecture roadmaps and open protocol support strategy. Hands on knowledge on breadth of product including various communications standards, controllers, interfaces, various performance, and capacity specifications etc.
Should have proficiency in Architecture designs, Firmware’s, Emb C & Linux languages. Responsible for the product quality and defining test topology and design for assigned product lines including large systems. Collaborate across GBE to drive the common practices & synergies to achieve the results in terms of Cost, Quality, and speed.
Drive technical process, participate in global and local technical reviews and drive actions to closure. Demonstrate greater focus and results on Innovation and IP generation. In addition to new product development, the position will include support to sustain complex legacy portfolio across LOB.
This role will be accountable for developing robust & quality codes for key platforms, driving strategic projects, project(s) oversight across LOBs, mentoring the technical team & junior embedded engineers.

Grow AST’ capabilities in Embedded & IOT platforms for Advanced sensing portfolio, enable breakthroughs/NPI & product strategies. Monitor new technology trends, generate growth ideas, and publish white papers.
Comfort working under tight time constraints and making decisions under pressure – and a preference for this type of challenging environment. Proven experience in innovating new solutions from idea to solutions.
Excellent problem solving – Strong Debugging and troubleshooting skills, Influencing & good interpersonal skills.

Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science from an accredited College or University with Min 14 Yrs of Industry experience.Candidates with master’s degree are preferable.
Min 8+ years of proficiency in Embedded Sw Architecture designs & Proficiency in computer languages C++, Embedded C and Linux etc. Proficiency in network & communication protocols for multi-industrial environments like CAN, Ethernet IP, Fieldbus, PWM, SPI/I2C & other wireless technologies (BLE, Edge, Gw interface etc).
Experience with Agile/Scrum product development lifecycle & cybersecurity principles. Demonstrated technical expertise on Wireless, Networking Technologies in the systems and sensing product lines. Experience in supporting certifications & interactions with regulatory agencies.
Product development (Embedded/Firmware’s) experience on the Industrial, Healthcare, Electronics sensing & Transportation product lines (. like IMUs, Speed sensors, multi pressure sensing, Force, IC development, Adv microflow sensing, Condition monitoring, Advanced sensing technologies, RF & wireless based packages products).
Demonstrate innovation initiatives though PoC and work with LOB leaders for healthy conversions considering local (E4E, E4R) and global customer needs.

The candidate should have the capability to understand & drive the system requirements and perform/enable full SW life cycle activities (design, implementation, and testing).

Experience in providing in-depth technical guidance to development teams and technical support to customers and support teams. Responsible for product validation, using new methodologies, DOE, architecture risks mitigation, automation and simulation planning and execution.
