Job Description : Specific Responsibilities:
Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
Perform validation and verification testing
Encourage healthy debate between team members and facilitate the decision-making process; Take on distractions to allow the rest of the team to work more effectively;
Proactively identify and find workarounds for development challenges the team will face; Delegate technical responsibility for areas of the codebase or project to capable and appropriate team members
Mentor and coach team members on technical tasks and communicate effectively with all stakeholders in product development (product owners, architects, team leads, developers)
Design and development of GIS suite of products and APIs among analysts, software developers and data scientists.
Research and analyse customer requests, industry standards, and specifications to help define requirements for enhancing the capabilities of the cloud product.
Develop geoprocessing tools to automate map creation using AI and post-processing results of AI models.

Develop basic geoprocessing functionalities using Python (like GDAL, Rasterio, PyQGIS, etc.) and JavaScript libraries (like OpenLayers).

Work on automating the conversion of source images data to 3D on cloud
Write programs that Extract insights from 3D data on cloud
Responsible for managing the interchange of data between server and client, with the primary focus being the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
Qualifications: B.tech /M.tech in GeoInformatics / Remote Sensing or relevant field
Experience: 7+ years of GIS engineering experience along with 2+ years managing a team
Desired Skills & Characteristics:
Excellent skills in 3D development using libraries such as three.js, CesiumJS and other GIS specific 3D libraries for visualizing and geoprocessing cloud-based 3D GIS data. Knowledge of different 3D file formats and Experience in visualization and geoprocessing of 3D Point Clouds.
Proficiency of Python-based GIS libraries like GDAL, Rasterio, PyQGIS, etc. and JavaScript-based GIS libraries like OpenLayers
Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
Certified and proficient in managing GIS Servers, SDE Spatial Database Engines.
Experience in REST APIs and web programming using Python. Design and development of Docker-based APIs
GeoServer, MapServer, Openlayers, Geowebcache, Boundless SDK, GeoExt, BigData GeoAnalytics Servers, etc.
Expertise with RDBMS (PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial, ESRI ArcSDE, Oracle Spatial etc.), SQL scripting and experience using various web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JSON, AJAX, DOJO Toolkit.
Experience in integrating GIS software with popular machine learning and deep learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, PyTorch/Fast.ai, and Tensorflow/Keras.
Experience in generating, visualising and geoprocessing of Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF files.
Knowledge of Pix4D and drone photogrammetry.
