We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant for a fixed term of 15 months to join our Integrated Transport Systems (ITS) business unit based in Rowley Regis, Birmingham.
Main Responsibility
The Management Accountant is responsible for ensuring all costs are captured and allocated to contracts accurately, effectively and in a timely manner, with a strict application of legal and company governance and policies. You will also produce and reconcile monthly management accounts including P&L, KPIs and variance analysis with supporting commentaries.
You will be responsible for producing yearly budgets for the department as well as preparation of the budget pack. Your role will also include monitoring Capex expenditure versus budget.
Your role will include regularly Liaising and supporting Senior Management, Project Management, and the Commercial team with projects as they arise.
You will ensure all your and your teams’ duties are carried out with mind to our commitment to health, safety and lowering environmental impact.
The Ideal Candidate
For this role we are looking for someone with a solid finance background, with excellent working knowledge of accounting and reporting systems. You should ideally be AAT (or equivalent) qualified and possibly working toward your CIMA qualification.
You will be a highly driven person with a proactive and flexible approach to problem solving, that enables your team to achieve the highest standards.
