We are looking for a Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team within our Pune division. Your job will be to ensure that the scale and quality of the software meets the requirements of customers and other stakeholders working with the Product Management team and the User Experience Team. You will work with other teams to ensure a coherent, forward looking product features. But enough about us; let’s talk about you.
You are responsible for technical leadership, building the team, coaching and mentoring the team. You will ensure the team adopts the best engineering practices and adheres to appropriate Development Methodology.
The Team: The microservice team consists of some of the top brains in the industry and strive towards constant excellence. We build the interface that helps in deriving the behaviour of the athenaOne mobile solution in real time. This team is innovative, passionate, and driven by the mission to transform healthcare.
Job Responsibilities
Combining engineering leadership with people management, you will lead the charge in solving technical problems related to developer productivity and developer pipeline on local systems, large scale distributed systems, and cloud platforms.
Provide technical leadership as well as be hands-on in architecture, design & implementation of test automation frameworks and dev-ops tool chain.
Lead and manage our next generation SDLC platform.
Collaborate with Core Engineering teams and provide guidance towards continuously improving agile execution mechanics and technical disciplines.
Typical Qualifications
8 to 15 years of overall experience in developing, delivering large scale software applications (SaaS and on-premises) of which, at least
8 + years of Solid software development / programming background.
3 + years management experience leading technical teams to deliver high quality and scalable products by leveraging Agile, DevOps and Cloud practices and tool chain.
Rich experience of java / javascript based asynchronous programming (NodeJS, vertx etc.)
Exposure to test automation frameworks like JUnit, Selenium, Rest Assured, Mocha and Chai etc.
Exposure to build and configuration management tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Artefactory , SVN, Git, BitBucket etc.)
Exposure to cloud services (AWS, OpenStack etc.)
Technical appetite to get your hands dirty, if needed.
