Job Description : Accountable for the safe and efficient execution of all preventative and corrective civil maintenance activities within a terminal. Accountable for plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of a civil maintenance and capex project, under the direction of a Head of Asset Maintenance.

REPORTING AND SCOPE:

The position reports to the local Head of Asset Maintenance
Direct reports: AM – Civil
Locally based; with occasional requirement for global travel
Key responsibilities
SAFETY
Ensure health and safety policies are complied with all civil maintenance and project works carried out at terminal area.

Planning and timely execution of the points raised during HSSE Safety walk /Monthly meeting / Workplace safety inspection etc.
Ensure all maintenance activities are executed safely with the aim of reducing risks to as low as reasonably possible
Ensure the safety of all workers working within their team, leading by example in their own behaviours and practices
Ensure all civil assets are maintained in accordance with local legislation and standards specified by APMT global functions
PERFORMANCE
Ensure all Inspection and maintenance activities are completed efficiently based on condition , regular site inspection, observations etc.
Ensure KPIs for timely execution of maintenance and project works.
Ensure all required KPIs and measures are correctly recorded and reported as required
STRATEGY
Ensure maintenance strategies are developed for terminal civil assets including minimum requirements specified by Global Asset Maintenance.
Lead the continuous review and improvement of maintenance strategies for civil asset under their ownership, taking into account major and repetitive failures
Develop maintenance procedures for maintenance work and ensure it implementation time to time.
ASSET INTEGRITY
Drive and lead the civil maintenance and project work at terminal – Plan, execute and delivery of all the civil maintenance in line with the scope, timeline, quality, budget and objectives.
Critical Infrastructure: Monitoring of the critical infrastructure asset regularly and plan for repair as per site requirement.
Routine inspection of various buildings like GTI House, CGC Gate, Bio Composite plan, Admin Pump house, Wharf fire water pump house, Yard toilet, STP building, Fuel station etc. to identify and resolve issues for smooth operation.
Yard Paver Maintenance work: Responsible for the maintenance of the Yard, Wharf and approach bridge paver block repair works.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Lead and manage the deliveries of the contractors and ensure that the agreed deliverables are met with; manage contractors and service providers to ensure manpower mobilisation at site as per requirement.
Manage contracts for outsourcing of services or specialist activities as required
Manage spare parts inventory requirements for all civil assets under their ownership
PEOPLE/COMMUNICATIONS
Ensure their team have all necessary skills and competencies required to perform their normal duties
Develop the skills and competencies of their team members, taking into account succession planning and career progression where relevant
COST MANAGEMENT
Develop budget for all planned preventive and corrective maintenance under their control
Proactively track and manage cost of maintenance, intervening when costs escalate and identifying ways to reduce costs
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Co-ordination with Port Authority & Railway Authority for ongoing construction and maintenance work (Engineering block for rail repair / replacement works, handover of the land, Co-ordination for construction and maintenance activity, safety of company asset, follow up for timely completion, records of land allotment, communication etc.) Coordination with JNPT and IPRCL for the handover the area and checks with licence agreement boundaries, monitoring of the construction work and align GTI Operational requirement during construction phase.
COMPLIANCE
Inspection and Maintenance of rail track – Maintenance of rail tracks basis site inspection on regular basis as guided by Senior Section Engineer – Permanent Way , Indian Railway ( Quarterly Inspection and corrective maintenance)
Terminal Fire Water Network – Compliance of Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measure Act 2006 (Mah. II 2007) and submit the Form B for the statutory compliance to GTI (Half yearly) or such other forms as may be amended from time to time by the respective authority. Planning and execution of the Fire network inspection and maintenance of fire hydrant, gate valve, cleaning and maintenance work.
Sewage Treatment Plant O&M: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plant in line with MPCB / CPCB norms and Day to day monitoring of the STP Plant and UF UV system to manage treated water supply for washroom flushing.

WATER MANAGEMENT
Ensure continuous supply of water 24×7 for uninterrupted operation. Management of water through JNPT (Follow up for continuous supply) and External resources in case of zero or less supply from JNPT.

We are looking for
Minimum 8 years’ experience in civil maintenance work like yard paver, general civil works, fire network or facility management related environment
Strong leadership and motivational skills
Willingness to take responsibility
Ability to make important decisions
Experience in stakeholder management

Understanding of Asset Maintenance planning metrics, principles, its processes and requirements

Understanding of (APMT used) software data systems and their interfaces
Structured, driven, self-motivating, result orientated
Highly disciplined – following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation
High quality awareness and ability to work with constant care

Sensitive to cultural diversity and experience in a multicultural environment, with respect to employees, local authorities and other stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Team building skills
