Reporting to the Senior Manager Environment, and part of the Safety, Risk and Assurance business function, you will lead the development and coordinated implementation, including performance reporting, of the organisation’s sustainability framework and programs through strategic and collaborative engagement and influence. We will be asking you to help us define business problems and develop solutions that challenge the way we think.
Your positive presence will be visible right across the organisation. Facilitating teamwork and creating a collaborative environment to foster ideas; supporting and mentoring teams through the transformation journey. Your impact will be evident in the strong, influential, and professional relationships you foster with key stakeholders.
Your advocacy for innovation and all things sustainability will be clear and compelling. Your ability to stay focussed on the big picture and drive performance will ensure your success in this role.

Position Description
We are looking for candidates who have:
Extensive knowledge of technical, regulatory and/or policy related sustainability aspects including energy, climate, carbon, waste and resources; and a high level of skill in their practical application in a complex and dynamic organization.
High level of communication, negotiation and consultation skills (verbal, written and interpersonal), with ability to communicate complex sustainability topics in simple terms, and with suitable business content, and influence outcomes.
High level of skill in the development and execution of programs, plans or campaigns to embed sustainability in diverse organizations.
High level of skill with strategic thinking and articulation of practicable solutions.
Substantial knowledge of sustainability reporting principles, standards and frameworks.
Substantial knowledge and level of skill with analysis and interpretation of data, including identification of trends and continual improvement opportunities.
Possession of a relevant qualification would be advantageous
