Job Description : What you’ll do: You’ll be a part of the Spiceworks Ziff Davis marketing team which is responsible for driving brand awareness and demand generation for SWZD and its respective business units. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Executive Director of Content and corporate communications and collaborate with cross functional leaders in the business to create our content strategies, manage the editorial calendar, and oversee creation of industry-leading content for B2B marketing and sales professionals that are targeting technology decision makers. You’ll have a keen eye for emerging trends and themes in marketing and technology with the ability to map them back to our business needs through the creation of full-funnel content (e.g., blogs, infographics, research reports, digital events, videos, case studies) ensuring it follows the SWZD Editorial Style Guide and all digital publishing best practices. This role reports to the executive director of content and corporate communications.

What will be your responsibilities?
Planning and maintaining a monthly editorial calendar with a full-funnel mix of timely content
Collaborating with marketing leaders to ideate and align all content, research reports, and demand generation campaigns with the editorial calendar
Work with demand generation stakeholders to determine content needs for retargeting, remarketing, nurture, and ABM strategies outside of global content thought leadership and promotion
Editing and proof-reading long and short form content submitted by staff writers and freelancers to meet SWZD Editorial Guidelines and digital publishing best practices (e.g., SEO)
Collaborating with the project manager to refine the content creation process and operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of team deliverables
Weekly performance tracking to flag gaps and discuss course correction with Executive Director of Content and Corporate Communications
Guiding staff writers and freelancers on SEO techniques and formatting
Content performance tracking of core success metrics for the content
Coordinating with Community and Research peers as needed
Establishing relationships with key influencers and subject matter experts as appropriate
Managing writing freelancer(s) and their performance, while recruiting and training new freelancers as appropriate
What does it take to do this job?
Proven experience in content management, editing, and delivering full-funnel content (long form, short form and snackable content) – preferably in technology or B2B domains
Well-informed, aware of current business environment, B2B marketing trends, and technology environment
Expert level knowledge of SEO and digital publishing best practices – understands online publishing, content SEO, social amplification, and promotion and distribution of content
Expert level knowledge of Google Analytics and other digital publishing tools for SEO, performance analytics, content management, and CMS is a must
Ability to work with a large, multi-functional team in a collaborative and transparent manner – while being remote
Proven experience of leading small teams and freelancers while working with matrix organizations will be an advantage
Excellent project and time management skills, ability to multi-task and ensure tasks are completed on time
Proficiency in American English and AP style writing
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Strong work ethics and a motivated self-starter
Degree/Diploma in Journalism/English/Mass Communications with 8+ years experience
