Position :
Job Description : Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing cloud applications – MERN stack.
Creating and maintaining clean and clear front-end code and backend APIs for our web applications.
Automation and Deployments of builds – Frontend and Backend – AWS / Hybrid
Maintain the highest levels of development practices (e.g., technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification, resolution) writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code, with repeatable quality and predictability.
Maintaining excellent test coverage for our code base.
Working with our global partners across different time zones
Writing documentation for our external and internal APIs.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of RESTful JSON web API design principles.
Demonstrable experience with AngularJS or ReactJS or Vue.JS, NodeJS, Express.JS, HTML5, and CSS.
Familiarity with client-side JavaScript frameworks and best practices.
Familiarity with popular NodeJS packages (e.g. express, socket-io).
Experience in JavaScript development.
Containerisation experience working with Docker/ Kubernetes/ Docker Swarm
Experience with NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB.
Experience with RDBMS databases like MySQL/PosgreSQL.
An excellent understanding of distributed systems and their tradeoffs.
Ability to clearly articulate technical problems, design and implementation choices to a broad range of stakeholders (e.g. sales team, users, security experts).
Familiarity with CI/CD Pipeline.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically 2-5 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Using software systems design tools and languages.
Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
Designing software systems running on multiple platform types.
Software systems testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.
