Job Description
Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and testing of a national app in the public sectorDevelop native Android mobile apps (Android Kotlin)Work with mobile engineers, integration and test-automation engineers to integrate and consume the APIsParticipate actively in all agile planning, delivery, review and discussion sessions as both an individual specialist and part of the self-organizing agile squad.Build mobile app and integrate with backend APIs.Work with other mems from APIs and UX to define both the technical and user interfaces.Participate in code reviews, POC/spike, brown-bags sharing, Sprint planning/review/retrospective, ideation and design thinking workshop with clients and other teams.Bring innovation to improve the developer as well as user experience, e.g. intuitive design, out-of-box thinking, automation tools, security, frameworks etc
Qualifications
Core languages and knowledge:Android native, must be proficient in Android Java and Kotlin language (at least 6mths ~ 1yr experience on Kotlin is preferred)Android v6 and above, the difference and new features in each OS versions.Best practices around developing apps for performance and secure mobile app.Android technical architecture and design patterns MVP, MVVM.Proficient in multiple thread handling, experience with common solutions such as RxJava or CoroutineFamiliar with Android UI layout design, material design and common widgetsGradle for build flavour configurations, dependencies, and resource management and CICD tasks
Development ToolsGit/BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence
Working knowledge:Understanding of security mechanisms and technic in mobile app and communication channel protectionExperience with Android secure storage/keystore, TLS secure connections, data encryption and PKI.Familiar with dependency injection frameworks, and design approaches for testingExperience with CICD with either Bamboo or Jenkins.Firebase (Crashlytics, Events, APIs, Database, RemoteConfig, etc)Understanding of micro-service /service-oriented architectures.Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean etc).Experience with using Proguard for code optimization and obfuscationExperience with Android Jetpack’s Navigation framework
Preferably candidates with knowledge in:V-Key product technology stackPublished mobile app through Google PlayStore/Beta.Github to demonstrate your study and own project
