THE ROLE
Reporting to the Lead MRI Radiographer, the successful candidate will work across MRI and CT rotations, and be offered opportunities to upskill on a variety of medical imaging modalities including Body MRI, Neuro, Musculoskeletal, and Cardiac MR,
As the successful applicant, you will work alongside a capable and professional team, and most importantly be supported by Senior Radiographers to ensure your ongoing learning and development.
Key Selection Criteria:
5+ years of MRI experience
Current APHRA registration
Current State Radiation Licence
Proficient at Body MRI, Neuro MSK, Cardiac MR experience desirable
Ability to work on a 7day roster (Eg: 4 days on, 3 days off)

Key Accountabilities include (not limited to):
Clinical
Perform MRI and CT examinations and produce images across a range of modalities
Assist Radiologists in the set-up of procedures, operation of equipment and administration of contrast media/drugs during interventional procedures.
Adequately inform patients and respond to questions and concerns about all aspects of imaging procedures to be undertaken or refer them to an appropriate source of further information.
Respect patient requests to allow confidante/s to be present during procedures (within reason) and ensure they comply with all instructions.
Promptly advise the Radiologist or senior medical staff of any patient findings that require immediate clinical attention.
Actively promote and participate in continuous quality improvement activities
Participate in the development of current and new clinical protocols.
Accurately record patient data and reports into the electronic medical record system or other records management systems as required by MQ Health.
Prepare patient reports for referring clinicians and other clinicians/bodies as relevant within and external to the Clinic/s.
Operate technical equipment and report any errors, or malfunctions
Monitor the laser camera film levels and refill as required.
Promptly report low stock levels of consumables used in interventional/ radiological procedures e.g. film, drugs, CDs, gel, etc.
Communicate, liaise and coordinate with medical, administrative and reception staff in the MMI clinic and throughout other MQ Health clinics in accordance with MQ Health values.
Preserve confidentiality and privacy of all the patient information and records.
Comply with established standards for radiation protection (ALARA) and licensing (EPA), where applicable.
Keep examination rooms tidy and clean at all times.
Conduct any other duties as directed by the Lead, Radiographer or Lead, MRI Radiographer, or delegate.
Supervision and Training
Provide formal and informal training, supervision and coaching to undergraduate and graduate radiographers, other health professionals and the public as required.
Actively participate and contribute to professional development activities in MMI, MQ Health.
Professional Development, Education and Performance Review
Undertake an annual performance review with the Lead, MRI Radiographer
Maintain and attend to a personal professional development plan
