Job Description : The Role
OLM Analyst is the focal for application issues as part of IT Operations team who is accountable for all trading applications.
As part of the Operations Landscape Management (OLM) team, Business Analyst is responsible for delivering smooth operations of applications and their related back-end technology.
Shell uses Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) software for the lifecycle of the Trading process, from trade capture, through scheduling the commodity for delivery, to actuating settlement and capturing the transactions in accounting. .Multiple application build on Azure data functions and reporting for trade decisions
The OLM Business Analyst will work with multiple stakeholders and service providers to deliver IT solutions and support to meet the business needs
Accountabilities
Drive Incident/Problem resolution by assisting in key operational activities in terms of delivery, fixes, and supportability with operations staff and/suppliers.
Assist in change ticket review / approvals / planning.
Drive the compliance and audit activities for the applications in the landscape
Ensure operation run books, support guidelines, and procedures are produced and maintained for use.
Assist in representing SOM towards the ITM for landscapes in scope sharing relevant information and managing priorities/escalations.
Coordination of DR plans and Test execution for the critical business applications within the landscape including maintaining the application and infrastructure landscape documentation on an annual basis, document failover process, criteria and timings.
Ensure regulatory and compliance controls are embedded in landscape operations and assist with evidence collection.
Assist with transition of projects to Support activities.
Liaison with a diverse set of business and IT stakeholders
Act as a functional expert for both business process and management information in a delivery space.
Manage the relationships with multiple parties, such as Downstream IT Business Managers, Downstream Competence Centre Managers, Application Managed Service providers and Infrastructure Service providers.
Maintain in depth knowledge of the business, processes, applications, information and data associated with the portfolio.
Accountable for end-to-end application operations delivery with technical and functional skills where the size and scale of the application landscape requires a specialist to assist in the application support delivery for their landscapes for all incident, problem, and change related activities.
The OLM Analyst drives reduction in incident volume and provide speedy and quality problem resolution. .
This position assists the Sr OLM Analyst in overall delivery, outages, for landscapes thereby ensuring availability, reliability, and overall supportability on a 7×24, 365 day basis with team members across the globe applying the follow-the-sun model
Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work collaboratively and lead effectively across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations, and ability to work autonomously.
Dimensions and Special Challenges

Experience in applications support and support processes, specifically ITIL

Understanding of business support requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Mandatory
Any Graduate
Over all 5 – 9 years of experience
Demonstrated experience in software development or applications support or IT services management (ITIL) or database management skills
Good communication skills and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge on any ETRM product Trading ( GAS & Power ) domain / product knowledge
Preferred
Knowledge in Energy trading domain
Technical Knowledge – Azure data functions / Azure Dev Ops / Reporting to cater to business needs.
Application Infra knowledge
Azure hosting and managing subscriptions
IT Support/IT Operations (ITIL certified – not mandatory)
knowledge in Azure hosting and managing subscriptions
