Salary: £11.20 per hour (£10,480 per annum)
Location: Lewes
Hours: 18hrs per week (flexible)
You will need to have access to your own transport due to the remote location
We are delighted to be assisting our prestigious and well known local organisation as they seek to recruit a Part Time Finance administrator on a contract for 1 year – this could extend or could become permanent. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to assist in administrative and financial preparations on a monthly and ad hoc basis regarding financial procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To invoice, monitor and report on income in accordance with the finance procedures, finance department and VAT regulations – this includes operation of the finance system and various online booking systems.
To track and recover bad debts arising from bookings which includes reconciling payments into the bank.
To maintain systems for recording staff time sheets and submitting records to payroll by deadlines set.
Preparation of monthly credit card statement for submission to purchase ledger.
To assist the accountant in other areas of finance within the business
Experience Required:
Previous experience of working in a Finance or accounts office
Literate & Numerate – GSCE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics
IT literate, in particular Excel.
Good organisation skills.
Understanding and appreciation of monthly accounting procedures and ability to complete tasks by deadlines
