Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of relevant work experience in the areas of mobile apps, digital content, mobile distribution channels, e-commerce or other mobile-focused businesses
Experience in sourcing, managing, and negotiating with partners in the South East Asia region
Experience in establishing and growing C-level relationships
Preferred qualifications:

Experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Management, Legal, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
Knowledge of mobile app-focused business models, value chains, and competitive landscape
Ability to influence cross-functionally and externally, thriving in a fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment
Excellent product sensibility, with ability to advocate and drive key product innovations or opportunities with the developer community
Strategic thinker, with the ability to solve complex problems and develop creative solutions with high attention to detail
Ability to speak and write in Indonesian Bahasa and English fluently in order to communicate with Indonesian clients and partners

Google Play’s ecosystem in APAC is complex and constantly evolving. As a Partnerships Manager for Google Play Apps, you will cultivate and grow partnerships with developers in the region with a focus on helping them build successful businesses using the Android platform and Google Play. You will use your business acumen, leadership experience, and extensive industry knowledge. In this role, you will lead Play’s effort to acquire, drive, and build a pipeline of amazing Android apps, identify emerging opportunities and challenges, help shape Play strategy, and drive solid business outcomes for our partners and Google. You will think strategically about emerging opportunities, challenges, and complexity in the South East Asia (SEA) mobile apps and content ecosystem. You will work cross-functionally to help Play apps partners improve their reach, retention, and business growth. You will work with government relations, communications, and legal teams to anticipate and address issues.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
Responsibilities
Own and drive an ambitious growth agenda for Google Play’s apps business in SEA through strategic category and partner initiatives.
Manage and grow a portfolio of app partners, helping them build and grow their business on Play/Android.
Define partnership strategies and execute commercial and product initiatives to drive positive outcomes for Google and for developers.
Develop go-to-market plans for new business models and platform partnerships, closely track developments in the mobile ecosystem, and provide actionable insights to shape product and commercial big bets. Advocate for strategic partner needs to product, policy, global partnerships, and engineering leadership teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, engineering, etc.) to drive regional strategy, develop and execute plans to boost the local apps ecosystem, focusing on catalog quality, new pipeline creation, international growth, and product innovation.
