Job Description : The successful Photographer candidate will demonstrate a proven understanding of the fashion industry and the ability to raise the creative bar through commercially relevant imagery. The ability to work within and across large, interdependent teams is a must, so the right person will have an understanding of the balance needed between creativity, communication, and collaboration.This position responsible for digitally photographing assets in studio and outdoor/on location, both on-body and laydown, to be used for Kasual on both e-commerce, in-store and collateral materials including public relations, promotions and social media. Responsible for retouching assets and preparing them in final required formats for use online and print.Key Responsibilities: Digitally photograph apparel products in studio as well as outdoor/on location, both on-body and laydown, to be used for Kasual on eCommerce, in-store marketing and collateral materials including public relations, promotions and social media. Accountable for executing to style guides, and creative and project briefs while exercising creativity.Retouching and color correcting images in preparation for use online, in print and large format. Execute clipping paths on images when required.Execute brand look and tone in collaboration with the creative team and stylists. Work directly with brand marketing and internal studio team to establish ideal lighting, props and set conditions.Ensure a high level of consistent technical quality and aesthetics for all photography created. Be a willing and contributing creative partner in the pursuit of excellence.Contribute to studio project “kick off” meetings by providing creative and technical options including any pre-production test shots.Consistently upgrade knowledge of industry trends and continuously work towards evolving both our creative aesthetic and improving our studio efficiency.Retouching and color correction of imagery if our retouchers are at capacityOrganize the photography studio so that all props and equipment are quickly and safely accessibleMaintain photography equipment by providing basic, routine maintenance on cameras, lenses, etc.Skills for Success: Excellent knowledge of studio lighting, product lighting, patterns, composition, color theory and video capture and editingExcellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail, accuracy and schedulesTeam player, but a motivated self manager with a strong sense of ownership who is comfortable working independentlyProficient and skilled in post production software such as Adobe Photoshop, LightroomMust possess a proven ability to work collaboratively as well as take direction as needed to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet all deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively as well as take direction as needed to meet needs of the Creative team and companyEfficient work-flow managementKnowledge and maintenance of equipment, ability to give equipment recommendations, and work within budgets.Knowledge of common digital capture platforms (Sony/Canon/Nikon DSLRs, medium format systems); various lighting environments (strobe, continuous light); and best practices/conventions for grip and set safety.Knowledge of Broncolor, Profoto, and Arri lightingExperience/Education: Years of Related Professional Experience: >5 yearsExperience in ecommerce photographyExperience with color retouching and correction for print and webExperience with product and lifestyle photography and video for ecommerce, print and social mediaExperience in an in-studio environment with team membersApparel and lifestyle experience preferredPhotography-related program or training a plusOnline portfolio that demonstrates expertise and judgment in the applied techniques of on-figure fashion photography (composition, lighting, capture, and processing), as well as pre-production and post-production stepsJob Type: Full-time
