What you’ll be doing…
We are looking for Google Cloud Architect who has experience in building and operating data governance on the GCP platform i.e. integration with data catalog and MDM, implementing data quality and also has been involved in migration of large scale datalakes from on-prem to Cloud setup. You should have strong knowledge of Big Data and Cloud solutions specially Data lakes, Data warehouses, Data Lakehouses with a proven track record in driving business success by architecting, designing, adopting and applying the best data practices and policies in cloud. Assist with technology roadmaps, documenting best practice gaps with precise steps of how to get there. You will ensure that each new iteration of functionality conforms to best practices, which demonstrate easily understood business value, and that design impacts are fully understood across all dimensions of our operation. You will be responsible for data architecture of data sets implemented on Big Query or Data Proc.
Driving the technical design of large scale data platforms, utilizing modern and open source technologies, in a hybrid cloud environment.
Setting standards and processes for ensuring a global delivery model in a complex cloud based hybrid setup and governing the compliance of architecture defined by the data engineering teams.
Design templates for the data migration to cloud, which are scalable, repeatable, and simple.
Designing and build modular software components that can be used by less senior developers.
Collaborating with the CISO and data governance and policy making teams to understand the technical requirements and ensuring they are addressed as part of the design and architecture.
Working with the enterprise architecture team to drive design/approach reviews, POC outcomes to get their buy in to move ahead on the proposed design.
Working with platform teams to ensure the platforms are setup in the right way from a data protection, security and global delivery perspective.
Mentoring technical team members.
Consulting on complex data governance and engineering efforts and leading project teams through the solution design process.
Researching, evaluating and formally recommending GCP native solutions and technology package.
Staying abreast of emerging technologies and projects in the modern data management/engineering space.

In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for…
You are a mentor and a good team player with good interpersonal skills. You can understand the data governance and compliance requirements and translate them to technical requirements for data protection/security and design solutions/architectures for the same.
You will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree with four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Five or more years of relevant work experience in Cloud Technologies.
Two or more years of experience in architecting application on Google Cloud platform along with hands on experience of working on GCP Strorage, Big Query and Data Proc.
Experience of ensuring performant, optimized and scalable design in data lakes, data lakehouses on the cloud.
One or more years of experience of working Apache Ranger, Apache Knox and other cloud native authentication, authorization and data access management tools for attribute level access management.
Even better if you have:
Knowledge of the other Big data and AWS and Azure Cloud Platform and Products and how to compare the capabilities and identify fit for purpose solutions.
Knowledge of Big data and Data Warehousing concepts and implementation of data governance on the same.
Knowledge of MDM, Data Virtualization concepts and tools.
Understanding of Telecom domain.
Designed an operating model that fosters reuse and sharing of Reusable assets.
Strong problem solving, analytical, and research capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Experience presenting to and influencing functional leaders and stakeholders.
