Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic UI/UX designer for our client who will be responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our various digital assets.
A strong understanding of the design process and human behaviour is a must for this role. The understanding of business requirements and processes, and creating wireframes, user journeys and prototypes along with a good understanding of testing user flows are pivotal to this role.
This role is part of our in-house experience design expertise within our Customer Experience team and works closely with our Insights, Marketing, Distribution, Business Analyst, and IT team. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with conceiving and conducting user research, collecting business requirements, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes. The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality, and to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it according to user-testing.
In a nutshell, you will:
Provide support on the implementation of UX research methodologies, design optimisation and testing
Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, flow diagrams, site maps, and prototypes
Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how app/sites function and test UI elements
Collaborate with the marketing team and internal and external designers to create and deliver tailored experiences for the digital user
Be able to conduct interviews, competitive research, design explorations, and explore strategic analysis
Conduct adjustments based on user feedback
KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES
UX Ownership:
Champion UX efforts on key projects and initiatives across our family of digital platforms
Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets
Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand
Deliver a complete UX and visual design framework (through partnerships with graphic designers, copywriters, and dev teams) to the engineering team
UX Research:
Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and user interfaces
Raising the bar through quantitative and qualitative metrics. Incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design to enhance the user experience
Be able to conduct interviews, competitive research, design explorations, and explore strategic analysis
Produce, Test, and Iterate UX Designs:
Creating user-centred designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback
Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how app/sites function
Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation components, informational components, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets
Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages
Must be able to perform QA testing, UAT and provide UX recommendation
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborating with the product, IT, marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user
Share knowledge and inspire other team members
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Conduct adjustments based on user feedback
UX Governance:
Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities to analyse and predict user behaviour
Manage all design aspects of a project from start to finish, own the end-to-end user experience of a project
Adhere to style standards on typography, colours, and images
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms
3-5 years of UI/UX design experience for digital products, platforms, websites, or services
Solid understanding of User Experience, UX research and Interface Design
Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY
A team player but can work independently too
Excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate ideas, designs, and suggestions
Time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Knowledge of wireframe and prototyping
Solid knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and Design System is a must
Experience in JIRA is a plus
Experience in prototyping tools such as Flinto, Axure, Principle or InVision is very good to have
Team spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Hands-on approach and enthusiastic learner
