Job Description : The OpportunityAs a Product Strategist, you’ll play a leading role at the intersection of Business Strategy, Technology and User Experience in guiding the creation and evolution of some of the most innovative and exciting technology products in Australia.You are responsible for challenging the status quo. You are our client’s eyes and ears in the fast-paced technology startup space.You bring a passion to product strategy, user experience and technology and at any given moment you span multiple products, each with their own array of intellectual challenges. That isn’t a problem because your entrepreneurial spirit helps you thrive when juggling multiple priorities.ResponsibilitiesBe a champion of the Lean Startup MVP concept, distilling the product down to what is must haveAct as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative digital solutionsManaging the sales pipeline and qualifying inbound leads (no outbound activities)Identify and articulating business goals, market goals, and user goalsCreate clarity out of ambiguous problem spaces, quick to focus the team’s effort in the most valuable directionConsult on user acquisition and marketing strategies for new productsGather and analyse large amounts of information expeditiously while developing compelling, insightful recommendations and product visionCommunicate product decisions to senior-level stakeholdersLead ideation exercises and driving creative problem solvingWork closely with designers, researchers, and growth marketers to set the direction for productsQualificationsDeep consulting experience at a digital agency or product for at least 2 yearsAn understanding of user-centered research principles and how to apply those user insightsExperience as a founder or working in a startup with exposure to digital product/software strategy engagementsHave successfully launched products from previous rolesManaged project workshops, check-ins, timelines, and presentationsCan clearly articulate business requirements and carry those business requirements through the UX of the productSignificant mobile and emerging technology industry knowledgeExperienced in UX and writing User Stories/product requirementsMost importantly the successful candidate:Thrives in a high-growth start-up environment, is comfortable with adapting to change and is able to learn quickly.Thinks about product as a key piece of the business, not the only pieceAct like a detective; they can quickly determine what they need to know and where to go to find the answersThrives when cultivating communication between varying audiences of experts + non-experts alikeIs an exceptional written and verbal communicatorAbout UsFounded in 2015 and based in Melbourne, Launchpad is a product agency and venture studio growing an exciting and best-in-class team working on some of the most innovative and exciting technology products in Australia.We are team of entrepreneurs, UX/UI designers, product strategists, growth marketers, technologists and developers all hungry to take innovative ideas to market successfully.We’re a crew of 10 in our (dog friendly) Cremorne office and are on the lookout for product, growth and design champions to build successful digital products.We want people that are hungry to make a huge impact both for themselves and our clients and want a fun, supportive and collaborative workplace.Are you ready to make an impact?
