Job Description : Summary
This position leads GHT Onboarding projects in the Americas region (approximately 30 projects a year). These projects include Hotel Openings, Hotel Acquisitions, Hotel Transitions, and other implementation projects in the region.
The Project Lead will kick off the project with hotel leadership communicating the onboarding process, standards and expectations. They will then work with hotel leadership, vendors, and corporate teams to create and manage the project schedule, that includes all system configuration, training classes, and go live support for multiple solutions.
They will be required to work closely with multiple teams to stay aligned with other activities and ensure the successful implementation of Hyatt’s technology footprint and onboarding of new Hyatt colleagues.
The position will require coordination of multiple projects and priorities at the same time. Interaction and communication with the Onboarding Manager, other departments within Corporate and the hotels as well as vendors will be critical.
Responsibilities
Effective interaction with corporate and regional offices to understand opening dates and the schedule of other activities (hiring of employees, implementation of other systems, setup of IT infrastructure, construction of the property) to manage the onboarding schedule. Remain engaged with other activities in the region that could impact the Global Hotel Technology Onboarding (GHTO) team. This could include but is not limited to: implementation of new distribution partner, hosting center maintenance, changes in hotels practices.
Create, manage, and convey the systems training and onboarding schedule for each project. Include systems in GHTO’s scope as well as other teams we partner with (World of Hyatt, Brands, IT). Liase with hotel leadership to determine number of training rooms needed, coordinate with global vendors on resource availability and distribute to all relevant parties (vendors, regional office, hotel, other implementation teams)
Conduct training classes related to systems and topics within GHTO’s scope as needed during hotel onboarding. Must be able to conduct training sessions in person and virtually.
Cultivate and maintain a relationship with Hyatt’s vendors across the Americas (~5 different vendors/offices) that implement and train the systems installed at new Hyatt hotels. This is accomplished through regular meetings with management from each office to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects and needs.
Assist with the development of training materials for use by the GHTO team, the hotels, or our vendors. Training materials include slide decks, trainers’ notes, written job aids and videos.

Qualifications
Experience
A diverse Hotel Management Experience in Operations (5+ years)
Experience managing multiple initiatives (2+ years)
In depth knowledge of core property management systems (PMS, CRS, Sales and Revenue)
Developing training and project plans (2+ years)
Experience training in person and remotely (2+ years)
Education
College degree preferred or equivalent work experience with major hotel management company
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Experience with Hyatt systems, Reserve, Opera PMS, Envision, Prio, World of Hyatt app
Experience with varied guest service systems is helpful
Experience with Microsoft Office
Additional Comments and Requirements
Must be able to lead multiple projects in varied stages of planning and execution
Ability to work closely with multiple business units, understanding the varied priorities of those business units
Must be a self-starter and comfortable working independently, working with others remotely and with different cultures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially as little face-to-face interaction occurs
Spanish language a plus
Occasional travel to support project needs and team development -approximately 10% of time
