Job Description : Do you want to be part of a multi-functional software development team creating innovative engineering applications? Our applications span many industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Marine, Consumer Goods, and more. You’ll have work on one or more of our applications, which are CAD integrated solutions for part joining, carbon fiber design, sheet metal design and seat trim engineering.
We are currently looking for a motivated and expert software testing professional. You will have the opportunity to work on a cross-functional dynamic software product team that leads all aspects of project development. Our software development teams are comprised of Software Developers, Project Test Engineers, and Product Owners. Candidates must be open to learning new skills and processes, collaborating with people across time zones, and embracing continuous improvement. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to help the team build testable user stories, automated and manual acceptance tests, and help drive the project to completion.
Essential Functions:
Contribute to the breakdown of projects into testable user stories.
Help team create detailed acceptance criteria that serves as the test plan for story development.
Creation of manual and automated tests that validate acceptance criteria.
Creation of workflow tests that emulate customer feature usage.
Ability to judge when product team needs to understand functionality short comings or general product issues discovered while carrying out test plans.
Proactively engage development team to overcome obstacles blocking progress.
When necessary engage team members to clarify user requirements or determine feedback on a project.
Ability to clearly articulate technical findings during team meetings.
Collaborate with extended team members across international time zones.
Desired Experience:
Experience testing CAD, PLM or similar technical applications.
Experience working on software development teams that apply processes with Agile principles.
Experience with various development tools like JIRA, Polarion, and QuickBuild.
Experience creating automated and manual acceptance tests.
Experience with Python a plus.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Proficient with CAD applications, preferably NX.
Well versed in finding and reporting software issues (bugs)
Broad experience using MS Windows required.
Ability to tackle complex issues using analytical skills.
Ability to communicate sophisticated technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Experience with Teamcenter a plus.
Education and Experience Requirement:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering with four to eight years of experience working in an engineering position. CAD, CAM, CAE, or PDM/PLM software experience required.
