Job Description : Professional Trust Group is a small but growing firm of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW), Tax & Business Advisors that focus on providing full services to a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses. Clients range in size up to a turnover of £5m.Whilst we offer everything you would expect from a firm of Chartered Accountants, we’re also a bit different to a lot of typical ‘high street’ firms. We have grown the practice by becoming key partners with our clients – specialising in providing a fully outsourced financial and accounting solution – saving businesses the costs and hassle of running a finance department whilst being able to trust everything is being handled independently and correctly.We provide regular consultancy and business advisory services based upon solid financial information prepared by us, whilst trying to inject a bit of personality along the way to keep our clients interested and focussed.We take a hands-on approach to our work and with that in mind, you can expect to be involved with and be responsible for the following on a day-to-day basis.· Preparation of Statutory Accounts to FRS 102 and 105 standards· Preparation of Corporation Tax and Personal Tax Returns· Preparation of Management Accounts· Preparation of VAT Returns· Bookkeeping to an advanced level, able to deal with more complex accounting adjustments and reconciliations· Payroll, CIS & AE Pensions· Having direct communication with clients and HMRC· Assisting clients with accounts software and other queriesEssential Skills and Experience· Suitably Qualified with a recognised accountancy body, such as ICAEW or ACCA.· Strong Accountancy Practice experience.· Experience of working with incomplete records (and able to identify when items are missing).· Experience of preparing accounts to FRS 102 and 105 standards with a good understanding of disclosure requirements, as necessary.· Experience of preparing corporation and personal tax returns, with a good understanding of what would typically be included (and excluded) from computations.· Experience and understanding of capital allowances and AIA.· Experience and understanding of how to prepare a fixed asset register and apply appropriate depreciation polices.· Experience and understanding of VAT calculations, filing returns and the differences between the rates of VAT, with a handle on the MTD rules.· Have an understanding of personal tax and national insurance – limits, rates etc.· Experience of the following software packages:· IRIS (Accounts Production, Business Tax, Personal Tax, Fixed Asset Register & more)· QuickBooks Online· Xero· Sage· Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelPerson Specification· Confident with an enthusiastic, proactive, hands-on attitude to work with a friendly and positive disposition.· Ability to communicate directly with clients in a confident, friendly, and professional manner.· Possess a high level of detail and accuracy.· Excellent written English· Excellent commercial awarenessOffer (Pro Rata if Part-Time)· £35-£45k Per Annum dependent upon experience and qualifications· 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays· Free On-Site Parking· Client Introduction Bonus/Referral SchemeExpected start date: ASAPJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentSalary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:Commission payPerformance bonusBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionFlexible scheduleOn-site parkingReferral programmeWork from homeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayNo weekendsExperience:Bookkeeping & VAT Return Preparation: 3 years (Required)Payroll: 2 years (Required)Licence:Accounting (Required)Work remotely:NoCOVID-19 precaution(s):Social distancing guidelines in placeSanitisation, disinfection or cleaning procedures in place
