The Opportunity

You will directly contribute to the core business strategy by integrating feedback from other engineers and product managers, identifying gaps, risk areas, and inefficiencies, and contributing to the roadmap for product maturity. You should share our passions for customer experience, growing an innovative quality practice, and managing the career development and satisfaction of your team. At the same time, you will be applying engineering best practices, and helping to create a culture of software quality and operational excellence throughout the organization.

In Your Day to Day, You Will…
Own and lead quality and performance strategies to increase product maturity, influencing engineering teams to shift-left and right, increase testing coverage, execution, and action on the resulting signal
Provide technical leadership and mentoring of team members and internal customers
Proactively work to remove, prevent and predict technical impediments to delivery
Drive opportunities and facilitate efforts to improve existing, or create new test infrastructure to increase effectiveness and productivity in test design, development, and deployment
Wear multiple hats in our agile environment, whether that means product thinking, project management, or data analysis
Continuously identify opportunities to improve the quality and performance of the processes, products, and people around you
About You
BS or MS in CS, EE or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of experience building developer tools that improve developer velocity, code quality, and code health (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks)
Proficient with Javascript, node.js, React.Js, and a strong understanding of web fundamentals.
A strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills as software engineers
Deep understanding of CS fundamentals, distributed system architecture and can demonstrate significant prior success as a software engineer who solved complex problems
Effectively articulate any technical challenges and undefined problems, translate complex and abstract ideas using data to a diverse range of stakeholders
Passionate about open-source technologies, with experience in contributing to projects a plus
