Summary:
SAP is revolutionizing the HANA database platform using groundbreaking in-memory technology through advancement in main memory computing, multi-core processing, and data management. The SAP HANA Database Platform is the basis for a disruptive technology that fosters new design thinking in the application space. It leverages technology innovation to establish real-time analysis of business data and combines both transactions and analytics to improve existing business processes with a dramatic increase in performance. The SAP HANA Database technologies are Cloud aware and are widely gaining traction in the Cloud space.
Architect and build resilient and highly available services around database solutions that provide scalable performance. Design innovative solutions to support existing databases on public cloud infrastructure. Come up with features useful to support databases in the cloud environment.
We are currently seeking highly talented and motivated development engineers to work on SAP Products and Database Technology. As a successful candidate for this role, you will have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding and systems design, solid communication skills, and a desire to solve complex problems of scale which are uniquely SAP. Our team is responsible for the client interfaces (ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, Python DB API, Node.js, Go) that applications use to connect to our SAP databases.
Role
Be an integral member of an agile development team that delivers state-of-the-art technologies
Design, implement, document, and maintain various modules within SAP Database drivers and specifically HANA, ASE and IQ
Contribute innovative ideas to shape the product architecture
Provide alternative diagnostic methods to resolve both in house and customer reported problems
Own and work with engineering teams in different geographic locations
Innovate, File Patents, and generate IP for SAP
Publish Technical white papers for SAP Database Customers
Participate in the end-to-end software development lifecycle
The ability to take on an end user’s perspective and become an advocate for our customers in your everyday work
Work with a group of committed, driven, and talented software developers and architects who are passionate about what they do
Role and Expectations:
Masters or Dual Degree (MTech/BTech/BE/MCA)(Computer Science) from top tier institutes with 3-6 years experience.
Must have a strong knowledge of the C, C++, Java Programming language, JAVA preferred
Experience developing on Windows and Linux
Experience in Java Database Connectivity
Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
ODBC/JDBC concepts, knowledge of SQL concepts will be a strong plus
Scripting languages like python, PERL, PHP, NodeJS will be a strong plus
Knowledge of Jenkins, NPM, maven/ant is good to have
Exposure to cloud technologies and prior experience with Docker and Kubernetes is good to have.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
