The Senior Director Internal Communications will develop and execute internal communications, employee engagement programs and channels to support business strategy, company culture, employee experience and change management / transformation across the region and in-country.

The role supports the Regional CEO and leadership team, is part of the global Employee Engagement & Transformation Center of Expertise in HR and works closely with counterpart External Communication and Marketing teams. The Senior Director will be a core member of the NTT Ltd’s Employee Engagement Council, assisting in driving globally integrated communication campaigns. It is a hybrid role, based virtually and from our office locations as required.
Working at NTT
Strategic counsel – advise NTT Ltd. European CEO and leadership team, corporate functions and business streams regarding strategic and tactical internal communications.
Planning and program development – design communication campaigns, programs and engagement activities to achieve business outcomes for the Region. Maintain the Region’s annual internal communication and employee engagement plan. Contribute to the global scheduling and planning process to align activity across audiences.
Message and content development – draft, edit and produce engaging messages, communications and content consistent with the global narrative and brand.
Channel strategy – maintain the optimum mix of channels (including digital and social) and interactions to reach and engage internal audiences, identifying and implementing new approaches, technologies and innovations as required.
Measures, feedback and employee insight – support global and institute appropriate local employee and communication effectiveness survey and feedback mechanisms. Use metrics and insights generated to drive improvement in communication and engagement.
Network representation and management – coordinate in-country internal communication resources and contacts. Play an active role in the global Employee Engagement/Internal Communications Council. Champion Regional needs and perspectives to global and deliver global engagement and communication initiatives within Region.
Manage resources, agencies, creative briefs and budgets in delivery of the Regional employee engagement and internal communication program.
Best practice, standards and governance – embed good practice and communication capability within the Region and its leaders and teams. Adhere to global corporate standards and governance for communications.
What will make you a good fit for the role?
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Proven track record of developing strategic internal communication, employee engagement and change communication programming
Solid experience creating and executing internal communications and a track record of delivering solid, measurable results
Demonstrated success managing teams both internally and externally, e.g. contractors and agencies
Proven experience working globally / cross-culturally and in a matrix
Ability to identify and analyze business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of channels
Ability to manage a number of programs/projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment often interrupted with immediate support requirements. Must be able to prioritize work on a daily basis and workload may demand working extended hours as necessary
Able to be hands-on as well as strategic. A “team player” who can lead by example, with high accountability for his/her actions
Proven problem-solving ability that can identify source of problem, impact as it relates to other functions and stakeholders, and recommended solution
Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management. Ability to project a confident leadership image to peers, subordinates and management
Excellent presentation and communication skills. An outstanding writer with the ability to create compelling messages that provides all levels of employees with a clear line of sight to business strategy
Outstanding judgment, with a balance of confidence, maturity, refinement and high energy
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Required Experience:
Solid experience within an internal communications role and/ or related discipline
Experience of managing multiple time-critical projects
Experience managing people and ensuring team goals are achieved or exceeded
