Title: Senior Engineer – DevOps
Years of experience: 4-6 years
Location: Pune/Bangalore
Purpose Statement:
The Senior Engineer DevOps – Azure is part of the Sungard Availability Services NextGen Public Cloud team and will work closely with colleagues to deliver all aspects of the Managed Azure Cloud service. This role will work with the Azure solutions architect to ensure the design focuses on the customer’s needs while implementing the solution.
This position will function as a customer-facing DevOps engineer that will engage with a variety of stakeholders in your customers’ organisations to drive business value while leveraging deep technical Azure platform expertise to ensure optimal solution deliver and support. The Azure DevOps Engineer will have a mix of infrastructure and developer skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Customers, Product Management, and the DevOps team where engagement will ensure that we drive modern managed services for our customers.
Deliver the customer experience for engineering and deployment, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing technical excellence for problem resolution.
Work with automation tools such as Terraform, CI/CD and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
Author automation artifacts such as templates and scripts
Work with software build pipelines that support Azure services and infrastructure deployments all the time ensuring you deliver scalable, resilient, and reliable systems hosted in Azure.
Deep understanding of Azure automation and services.
Strong Powershell scripting and preferred C# .Net experience
Work supportively with colleagues, always operating in a collegiate manner and in line with the Company’s values.

Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge):
6+ years’ experience in scripting for CI/CD processes (test, automation, build, deployment)
Deep understanding of security best practices and experience designing solutions aligning with various Compliance Programmes
Strong PowerShell scripting experience
Experience with cloud-based architecture (AWS, Azure etc.)
Strong networking knowledge
Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) experience with one or more of the following programming languages: PowerShell, Bash, .NET, C++, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience in managing infrastructure as code with Terraform and Azure Resource Manager.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins etc.
Deep understanding of Azure automation and services. Hyper-V, VMWare, Azure, AWS
Kerberos, LDAP, NTLM, TCP/IP, SSL, DNS, HTTP, Log Management.

Skills and Behavioral Competencies:
Customer-first mentality and existing experience with Azure solution design and implementation whilst delivering on customers’ requirements.
Understanding of cloud computing technologies (including Microsoft Windows and open-source platforms), business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
Demonstrated skill building technical relationships with technical resources within customer organizations.
Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives and growing cloud consumption shares in large or highly strategic accounts.
Strong communication (verbal and written) and collaboration abilities in addition to technical depth.
Ability to connect technology with measurable business value
