Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Act as the system integration testing responsible for one of the onboard/off-board telematics feature cluster and works closely with the project managers in our office in Long Beach, CA to support multiple Telematics projects in parallel
Provide technical support to the organization by testing, verification, and validation of telematics components
Resolving technical problems, discover and report defects, support documentation and traces, and promptly communicate technical and quality related issues obtained from the testing, validation and verification process
Regularly participate in scheduled test events, as well as independently plan and execute verification retest for fixed defect tickets
Ensure testing procedures, test cases, testing environments, special tools, and diagnostic equipment are maintained and configured/revised accordingly with requirements from RD
Generate reports related to the progress of the your testing
Ability to communicate effectively within the team, solve problems in the area of responsibility, be a creative thinker and work as a team in a multi-project environment
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees
Continually build on self-knowledge through learning on the job
Experience
3+ years of Testing experience in Telematics Verification & Validation
Industry Preferred
Automotive OEM & Tier 1 space
Qualifications
BE / B.Tech. / M.E / M.Tech (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science) domains
General Requirements
Good knowledge of cloud computing technologies and connectivity trends
Good communication & analytical skills
Ability to work independently, take follow-up on project deliverables, go above and beyond the task at hand
Familiarity with Product Security & methods
Extensive knowledge of automotive industry and the vehicle telematics domain.
Experience in variety protocols from different layers – Serial protocols, CAN, TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT, LIN, and UART
Background understanding embedded architectures and microcontrollers, low level software and hardware interfaces
Experience in analyzing the CAN messages using vector-canoe, canalyzer and CAN simulation, are a plus
Executing integration testing, black box testing, sanity testing, smoke testing, unit testing, verification and validating on the software application programming interfaces (API’s).
Good exposure on identifying & raising Defects, taking logs for analysis & Report generation
Handling of network simulators for 2G,3G,4G , etc are an Added advantage.
Knowledge on Cellular protocols like 5G, LTE, UMTS & GSM, and Location technology Added Advantage.
Overall understanding of the hardware system, I/Os , debugging and log analysis
